This is an original a pair of OEM GM high performance cylinder heads for Small Block Chevy engines. The casting number on each head is 3782461. This casting is known as a “camel hump” or “camel back” head due to the double humps cast into the ends of the head. The camel hump heads were reserved for the higher performance Small Block Chevy engines. This particular head is set up with 2.02 inch intake and 1.60 inch exhaust valves which is what was used on the factory high performance applications including L79 327/350HP, 327/365HP, and 327/375HP fuelie applications. These heads have a casting dates of B 19 6 and B 23 6 which decode as February 19th and 23rd, 1965. This is a real deal pair of 1966 dated camel hump heads. These heads are in good core condition. These were removed from a good running engine in 2017 and were taken to a machine shop to be inspected. They were found to be good rebuildable cores. The heads have been inspected for cracks and are guaranteed to be crack free. The machine shop inspection receipt is included as shown. These heads are complete with valves, springs, and retainers. The rocker studs are still the factory press in units as shown. The intake and exhaust ports are stock no porting. The combustion chambers are stock with no deburring and all valves sit high in the seats. All threads are in good condition with one professionally installed helicoil on an intake mounting boss as shown. I pulled valves out of one chamber to show the valve sizes as well as the seats. . These are simply very nice high performance heads that have survived the test of time. These heads are cores that have been in cool,dry storage for years and should be rebuilt before use do to the long term storage. That said, many guys would likely clean these. replace the valve seals and use them as they are. These 3782461 heads are becoming very hard to find in any condition.
