YST-102 Telephone Ringer Description Up for sale is a model YST-102 Telephone Ringer. This ringer was purchased a few years ago and was only promptly used before it was replaced/upgraded with another unit. It’s still in good working order, however, since we’ve gotten rid of our old LAN line phone system and now have an internet based phone connection around the house, we don’t really need this item anymore since our new cordless phone system has a pretty decent ring to it. This unit comes in its original packaging, however, I can’t seem to locate its original set of instructions; which I’m not even sure even came with it to begin with. All you really need is a couple of phone line cables to hook up the main phone line and the phone and then there’s a toggle switch which allows you to toggle between two ringer sounds, one of which sounded more modern (if I remember correctly). It’s been a while since this product has been used, and I don’t doubt that it still works… it’s just a passive unit that operates on the power from the telephone lines with a piezo style speaker on it. The unit does seem to have a minor cosmetic blemish on it appearing in the form of a dimple or two located on the upper left to middle area just below the grid pattern and above the speaker itself (see picture #8). I’m not sure how I never noticed that blemish before, but it’s there and worth mentioning for the accuracy of this description. The unit measures approximately 2 & 1/4″ wide by 3 & 7/8″ tall and 1″ deep (mind you, the depth tapers towards the top with the wider measurement occurring at the bottom) so with that in mind, the depth at the top is around 13/16″ deep. There’s also a hole on the back for mounting it on a wall; though I fail to see how effective that could be when it comes to keeping it in place since there’s only one mounting hole instead of two. Perhaps an industrial piece of adhesive tape should be used for the rest of the unit? Who knows? Anyways, I’m selling this unit in as-is condition (even though it’s barely been used) and pricing it to move, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts.
